Hailed as the Spanish maestro of the guitar, the brilliant virtuoso Angel Romero is known throughout the world as a spectactular performer and the leading classical guitarist of his generation, continuing in the tradition of the great maestro Andres Segovia. In a career that spans almost over 40 years since his debut at the Hollywood bowl in 1964 this is one of the few recordings made of a live Angel Romero recital where his performance of driving intensity and flawless control wonderfully demonstrates why he is rightly acclaimed as the virtuoso of the Spanish guitar and the leading performer of his generation. Titles are: ‘Recuerdos de la Alhambra’, ‘Burgalesa’, ‘Traditional Virtuoso Improvisations’, ‘Leyenda, Astorias’, ‘Suite Andalusa’.
