There are two technical standards for DVDs - NTSC, and PAL. In general, different countries use different formats. Many modern DVD players can play more than one format but it is advisable to check your DVD player manual before ordering a DVD in a format you are unsure about. PAL is the standard format for the UK and most other European countries and the majority of our DVDs are in PAL format where available, for further information on a particular title please check www.FretsOnly.com. DVDs are available in different regions for different countries. Most of our DVDs are region free which means they will play in all DVD players however some DVDs are only available in one region.
