This is the first CD in this series of historic CD recordings compiled from 78rpm recordings, most of which have not been released before on either LP or CD. The major part of this CD (23 tracks) are devoted to Julio M. Oyanguren whose performances confirm his legendary ability. The remaining six tracks are performances of Albeniz and Granados by Andrés Segovia. The amazing 20 bit digital restoration brings new life to the sound on this excellent and essential release. Titles are: 'Tremolo Study', 'Prelude 5, 6, 11, 12', 'Danza Mora', (Tarrega), 'L'Hereu', 'Jerezana', 'Zapateado' (Sirera) 'Air', 'Sonate', 'Gigue', 'Gavotte', 'Fugue' (Campion), 'Pavane' (Milan), 'Variaciones' (Narvaez), 'Capricho' (Sanz), 'Rondo' (Ferrandiere), 'Allegro' (Aguado), 'Sonata Op. 22' (Sor) performed by Julio M. Oyanguren. 'Granada', 'Torre Bermeja', 'Sevilla' (Albeníz), 'Tonadilla', 'Dance No. 5 & 10' (Granados) performed by Andrés Segovia.
