The Jazz Soloist Volume 3 is the final part of a series of three volumes. The series features great-sounding professional jazz quartet arrangements which have been specifically chosen to demonstrate the key elements of jazz improvisation techniques. An on-screen piano keyboard lets you see exactly what the soloist is playing. Slow down the piece or step through it chord by chord. Learn music 'note-for-note' by watching the notes on the screen. The program includes: On-screen music notation & chord symbols; all the pieces are complete performances professionally performed, recorded & saved as standard MIDI files; full range of styles including jazz swing, bebop and modern styles; listen to the music while you work in other programs. There is a also a special bonus for Band-in-Box users, The Jazz Soloist actually gives you every song twice - once as a standard MIDI file, and once again as a PG Music Band-in-a-Box file. That means Band-in-a-Box users can load in the songs, play them back in different styles, automatically harmonise the melodies, record in their own solos, add lyrics, change the chords, and print out the parts on paper. It's like getting a whole second program for free! Volume 3 moves into other musical genres which are not covered in Volumes 1 and 2, mainly featuring latin, blues, and jazz waltz styles. This volume also contains 50 songs. Requirements: For Windows 95 or above, 8MB RAM, sound card or MIDI interface.
