MASTERS OF THE TELECASTER
Widely regarded as the first commercially successful solid body electric guitar, the Telecaster was designed by Leo Fender at a time when the term ‘rock ‘n’ roll’ had not even been coined. In the early 1950’s its innovative construction brought to the fore new concepts in professional guitar making that spawned a spate of innovators. ‘Masters of the Telecaster’ details the players and techniques that made such an impact on popular music. There are over 140 musical examples to play, be it the country picking of Albert Lee and Jerry Donohue, the rock riffs of Keith Richards and Jimmy Page, the soul licks of Steve Cropper and Cornell Dupree or the blues solos of Albert Collins and Muddy Waters. Each example is contained on the included CD recordings, while the book also features a complete history and 8 pages of colour photographs.
